Experience

Tempe has spent the last decade of her career representing people who have been injured negligence of others. She has represented people from across the country who have been injured by pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, and other safety devices. She has also helped clients in Alabama in their personal injury cases. Working on these cases has taken her to courtrooms and trials in Alabama and beyond.

 

Tempe has also worked to help people through class action cases. She was class counsel in a fraud class action that resulted in a $310M settlement. In 2017, She was part of a trial team that successfully represented a class of Kansas corn farmers against Syngenta, resulting in a verdict of nearly $218 million. That same litigation ultimately resulted in a $1.5B class-action settlement for corn farmers nationwide.

 

Prior to entering private practice, Tempe clerked for the Honorable Judges James H. Hancock, R. David Proctor, and John E. Ott all in the Northern District of Alabama. She attended law school at the University of Alabama School of Law. While in law school, she was on the Alabama Law Review, the Jessup Moot Court Team, and was an associate justice on the Honor Court. She was awarded the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society’s “Outstanding Senior” award. Tempe was a Hugo L. Black Scholar and was elected to the Order of the Coif, an honor reserved for those who graduate in the top 10% of their class.
